Can perfection be more than perfect?
Can reality be sweeter than the Fiction?
Can beauty be all-together this lovely?
Its in the warmth of your hand
the twisting;the styling of your dark hair
your endearing persona
that soft voice
those cute eyes
that makes me truly smitten and thats no lie...

So pardon me for asking but......

May I carry u everyday in my mind?
May I pray that u fall in love with me if only for a day?
May I talk to u if only for a lifetime?
May I write for u a poem and cherish every line?

Can I sing for you the song that never fades?
Can I ask u out on a picnic date
Can I hold u longingly in my heart late @ nite as I watch the velvet sky?
Can I wish you near the rush of the day while the sun shines from way up high?
Can I talk u for a walk in the park and watch the floating orchids by the river and have u home before its dark?

Can I stop thinking and do what I think?
Can I write u a love letter till my pen runs out of ink?
Can I mean what I say and say what I mean?
and Can U tell my friends ur the cause of my constant sheen?

Can I watch u sleep then wake u up and take u on a countryside trip?
Can I souve myself ur lovely scarf and tell u stuff that just makes u laugh?
Can U allow me to steal some occasional glances
and feel a brutha when he makes his shy but daring advances?

Can I not wait till tomorrow but say what I have today?
and do today what I failed to say yesterday?
Can I sway u with just my nerve and a bit of style , make u smile and when I'm far its just my number that u dial?

Can I be the difference u've always longed for in a guy?
Can I make u testify
not all men are dogs (esp the one who's writting on this blog?)>>>>
and when I start feeling hot , like now,
Can U be the one who bursts my bubble ,with love, and graciously make me take the bow?
May I put all these in a vow
and without regard to when, what, why and how?
with the lovely stem of a rose
againist the backdrop of the august sunset drop to my one knee and propose?

For Love is the debt I owe
so kindly allow the seeds I sow
be the garden to which my commitment grows

How pleasant it is for brothers to dwell in unity

for something went amiss
and now no one is at peace

Why are we reaping discord yet we never sowed the seeds?
Why are we giving ground for hate to breed?
weve come a long way to end to this.
Take a minute and entreat our beloved peace
surely were one..we have been one
Different tribes , Different clans
But one !

Look at the innocent blood soaking our land
Look at the fire razing down our houses ,our property
Look at the crude weapons we now hold in our hands
ready to slaughter one another on the alter of cheap politics
Look how foolishly we fell for these polluticians tricks...
Yet do they care?
Do they really have us in their minds?
For power , greed , Love for money make them blind
Beloved people we are not of their kind
WE BELONG TO KENYA
we take pride in being one
let us rekindle the love weve always shown one another
care for one another

Different ethnics but woven with the same fabric
Kenya..
Our fathers paid a heavy price
Let us not mock freedom with this lowly vice

Let us look beyond the dark clouds
Let us see the morning sun of hope
Let our diversity make us proud
Let every man , woman , boy and girl
every kenyan
dwell in unity
Peace and Liberty
and may plenty be found within our borders
for this is our righteous duty..
To Be Kenyan, Lest we Forget!
